Valley and help educate its members.
SGVHA makes a presentation to the El Monte City Council in
February 2006 to introduce itself with 30 members from the Indian-Asian
community to lend its support.
SGVHA has had series of meetings dating back to March 2005

upper management on ordinance # 2644. It
is SGVHA’s position that this part of Ordinance #2644, Chapter 5.48.080 be
repealed effective immediately.
The Lodging Operators of El Monte help create a community
program called The Helping Hands Program of El Monte. The participating Lodging
operators donate 2 room nits per month to those who are in need of emergency
lodging. This is a partnership with City of El Monte Police Department whereby
the Police Department recommends such persons to the administrator of the
Helping Hands Program of El Monte.
The El Monte City Council recognizes the Helping Hands
Program and awards certificates to the El Monte Lodging Operators on March 6,
2007
